“Stuart Little” children’s star Jonathan Lipnicki: not yet where he wants to be

Jonathan Lipnicki (34) became famous in the nineties with films such as “Jerry Maguire” (1996) or “Stuart Little” (1999). At 14, he disappeared from the scene for several years to end the high school. As an adult, he now says: “I am not where I want to be professionally.”

In the “People” magazine, Jonathan Lipnicki reveals that he is trying to get his acting career going again after she had stalled through his break. “I had a few really good things that happened when I was younger,” he started. But he also admits that the leap from child acting to adult acting is a big one. “It is completely okay to say that I am not yet where I want to be,” admits Lipnicki.

The acting is “what I want to do for the rest of my life, and I think you just have to believe in it and do everything in your power to go in the right direction.” After the high school, for which he deliberately screwed his career back, the American took acting lessons and began to perform in smaller films and stage productions in Los Angeles.

“In my career as an adult, there were a few things that were really good, but nobody saw them,” he sums up today. “To be honest, I said about five films ‘no’ last year,” admits Lipnicki and regrets: “I would like to tear the helm around.” Every night he prays for clarity about “where I have to go and I am confident that the best for me will still come. You just have to believe in it.”

His latest project, the “The Joe Schmo Show”, is “a step in the right direction”. The series is about kidding a person who thinks they play in a reality show. Lipnicki plays a fictionalized, selfish version of himself. It was a step out of his comfort zone, whereupon he was “most proud”. “As an actor who grew up in this industry, you want to show your best side and I had to show myself from my worst side.” That had something emphasized in a strange way.
