One detail in the eye is particularly in the eye: Gabriella holds the thumb of her twin brother Jacques. A second picture from the Palace Instagram post shows the proud parents, Prince Albert II of Monaco (67) and his wife Charlène von Monaco (47), who are proud of their children. Albert puts a hand on his heir.
“On this day of the first communion, we congratulate hereditary prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who received this sacrament with faith and awe,” says the accompanying post-text.
For the special ceremony, Jacques and Gabriella were wrapped in so -called albums – long, white, robe -like clothes that are worn on this occasion. The ankle-length unisex robe serves as a symbol of purity.
Royal fans and followers roll over with congratulations under the sugar-sweet Instagram contribution. “Congratulations! I can’t believe that the twins are already so big,” says a comment. “Congratulations to Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella! I am sure that her grandmother Princess Gracia Patricia, a very religious lady, is very proud of the two in heaven,” comments another person.
