Nadja Abd El Farrag lived on Dieter Bohlen’s side for more than eleven years. She was the successor to his first wife – and caught the pop titan in bed with his second.
1. Erika Sauerland – the first woman and mother of his oldest children
Erika Sauerland was Dieter Bohlen’s first great love. The two got to know each other in Göttingen in 1974, but it took until the early 1980s until they became a couple in Hamburg. Erika, active as a songwriter, wrote, among others, for Thomas Anders and Christine Lenz. On November 11, 1983, they married in Hamburg. The family initially lived in the Hanseatic city, later in Quickborn and finally in Tötensen, where Bohlen had an estate with a studio and horse padding built. Three children come from the marriage: Marc Bohlen (*1985), now in the IT industry, Marvin Bohlen (*1989), lawyer, and Marielin Bohlen (*1990), received his doctorate. After six years of marriage, divorce followed in 1989. Erika moved out with the children and lives in northern Germany today.
Dieter Bohlen says about this relationship: “Erika was my first great love. We had many good years.”
2. Nadja “Naddel” Abd el Farrag – the long -time partner with a tragic end
Nadja Abd El Farrag was born in Hamburg in 1965 and grew up in Altona. She met Bohlen in 1989 in a Hamburg discotheque. He hired her as a background singer for Blue System. The relationship lasted eleventh years (1989–1996 and 1997–2001) and was characterized by numerous ups and downs. They lived together in the villa in Tötensen, where Naddel took care of the household, the animals and the property. At that time she said about her relationship: “I threw the whole household. The full program with everything, including the animals.” In 1996 the couple separated after Naddel Bohlen caught with Verona Feldbusch. In 2001 there was a final separation. Naddel then tried as a presenter (“Peep!”), DJane and Reality TV star, but fought with alcohol problems, debts and loneliness. She suffered from cirrhosis of the liver and made her illness public in her biography. On May 9, 2025, she died of organ failure at the age of 60 in a Hamburg clinic. Dieter Bohlen said after her death: “I am very sad. I wish her to rest in peace.”
3. Verona Pooth (born Feldbusch) – a marriage like a hurricane
Verona Feldbusch, born in La Paz, Bolivia in 1968, Bohlen met in a Hamburg discotheque in the mid-1990s. The relationship began as an affair during Bohlen’s partnership with Naddel. On May 13, 1996, they spontaneously married in Las Vegas, but the marriage only lasted four weeks. A violent argument – Verona indicated domestic violence – led to the separation; The divorce was carried out in 1997. Verona received a severance payment of 500,000 D-Mark.
Feldbusch said about the relationship at the time: “After 24 hours the house blessing was wrong. The marriage was bizarre, absurd and passionate.” After the divorce, Verona Pooth became a successful moderator, advertising star and entrepreneur. She has been married to Franjo Pooth for almost 20 years and lives with him and her sons San Diego (*2003, model, TV appearances) and Rocco Ernesto (*2011) in Düsseldorf.
4. Janina Youssefian-The scandal teat maker in the carpet shop
Janina Youssefian, born in Tehran in 1982, came to Hamburg at the age of 15. At the beginning of the 2000s she worked in a carpet department of a Hamburg boutique where her affair started with Bohlen. It was a secret relationship that became public through a scandal.
Janina Youssefian described her relationship as follows: “Dieter always called at 4 p.m.. I said: Come over, I’ll take a break. Dress up, pants down – and so we were caught during sex.” The scandal made headlines nationwide, Janina lost her job and became a boulevard figure as a “carpet spell”. She posed for the “Playboy” and performed in reality formats such as the RTL jungle camp. Today she lives with her partner, a hotelier, in Sweden and works in hotel management.
5. Estefania Küster – Mother of his son Maurice
Estefania Küster, born in Paraguay in 1979, came to Hamburg as a child. As a dancer, she met Bohlen 2001. In 2005 her son Maurice Cassian Bohlen was born, who is now active as a model, musician and creator and has more than 150,000 followers on Instagram. The relationship ended abruptly after a Paparazzo photo Bohlen showed another woman in Mallorca while Estefania was high. After the separation, Estefania lived with Maurice in Hamburg, worked as a moderator (“The Dome”) and Model. In 2013 she married the television producer Markus Heidemanns, received two other children and lives withdrawn today, but occasionally appears on TV.
6. Carina Walz – The woman for life
Carina Walz, born in 1984, met Bohlen in 2006 in the “Physical” discotheque in Cala Ratjada in Mallorca. At that time she was 22, he was 52. Only a few days after getting to know him, he asked her if she wanted to be his girlfriend. Carina terminated her job in Berlin, moved to Dieter to Tötensen and later to Mallorca with him.
The couple has two children: Amelie Bohlen (*2011), who attended an international school and wants to become a doctor, according to Bohlen, and Maximilian Bohlen (*2013). Carina Walz now works as a manager in the background, organizes everyday family life and manages Bohlens Musikverlag.
