High visit to King Charles and Camilla: Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte come to Great Britain in July.
King Charles (76) will soon be guests of Emmanuel Macron (47). The French president will come to Great Britain from July 8th to 10th, the palace said. Macron accepted an invitation from the king and will arrive accompanied by his wife Brigitte Macron (72). “Her majesties, the king and the queen, are welcomed to President and Mrs. Macron at Windsor Castle,” the article continues. The French head of state and his wife are also honored with a state banquet at Windsor Castle during their visit.
Charles and Camilla visited France 2023
King Charles and Queen Camilla (77) were a state visit to France in September 2023. The monarch had planned to make France to the goal of his first trip abroad after the throne ascent in 2022. The state visit in March 2023 was then postponed to autumn due to protests against a pension law introduced by Macron.
According to media reports, the last French state visit to Great Britain took place in March 2008. The then President Nicolas Sarkozy (70) was also greeted by Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) at Windsor Castle.
Donald Trump also visits King Charles
King Charles will probably also receive Donald Trump (78) for a state visit this year. The British Prime Minister Keir Starmer (62) presented an invitation to the US President in February. A specific date has not yet been announced.
King Charles and Queen Camilla were only honored in Italy in April with a state banquet, which was organized by President Sergio Mattarella (83) in his official seat, the Quirinalspalast. The royal couple was in the southern European country for four days.
