Cathy Hummels interviews Markus Söder: First kisses, zodiac signs and medicinal mushrooms

Two worlds meet: To the first edition of “Cathys Stammtisch”, a new talk format by influencer Cathy Hummels (37), the moderator has invited the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (58). In addition to clumsy flirting attempts from Hummels, the conversation was about topics such as astrology and food.

It shows how she interviewed the politician in the dirndl sitting on a barrel. It is not about politics, but “for people behind the office”, Hummels clarified right from the start. Sometimes it worked: “I was more afraid of my first barrel than before my first kiss,” said Söder, when Hummels tapped a barrel. “Although I have to admit, also watched more when it comes to barrel.” The Prime Minister of Bavaria received his first kiss in the subway. Asked about his new beard and whether he would not bother his wife while kissing, said Söder: “You have to make a victim.”

Söder himself revealed how it came to the unusual meeting: “… then Dorothee Bär dragged her …”, whereupon Hummels clarifies: “I would rather be towed up than towed, but that hasn’t happened for a long time.”

Söder’s zodiac sign – Capricorn – was also discussed. Hummels predicted loyalty and reliability to the politician. Söder was happy to agree: “If I promise something, I hold it up and if someone is in a dispute with me, then he can rely on it.” Other highlights were Hummel’s attempts to persuade Söder to try an Asian medicinal mushroom. “The questions were good, the food was … could be forgotten,” said Söder’s conclusion. “It was vegan, sugar -free and healthy – not his thing,” laughed the host.

Depending on the target group, the new format triggered mixed feelings on social media: While mostly praise words can be read on Hummel’s profile, on Söder’s side it is agreed that participation was a mistake. “As Prime Minister, how can you follow the invitation of such a talentless, overestimating and even dubious person?” Is one of the most popular comments.
