Dakota Johnson: had to ask parents for help with rent
After the high school, Dakota Johnson’s father actually turned her tap. And yet she had to pump her parents again and again, says the “Fifty Shades of Gray” actress.
U.S. actress Dakota Johnson, according to her own, had to pump her parents for money at the beginning of her career. “It was difficult to make money for a few years,” said the 35-year-old in a conversation for the magazine “Elle” in a conversation for her acting colleague Pedro Pascal. “It happened a few times that I went to the market and had no money in my account or the rent could not pay, and I had to ask my parents for help,” she said.
She was “very grateful that I had parents who could help me and also helped me,” said Johnson. “But it was certainly not fun”. The audition of roles is “the damn worst”. Johnson is the daughter of actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson. The actress reported that her father actually “had the money tap” after the high school because she didn’t go to college.
She played at “The Social Network” (2010) and then there were little jobs and so on, “said Johnson. Later she became known about the “Fifty Shades of Gray” films. With Pascal and Chris Evans, she most recently made the film “What is love worth: materialist”, which is to come to German cinemas on August 21.
