It is not enough for the first half, but King Charles can still climb up in the list of the richest British.
King Charles (76) can apparently look forward to a few million additional pounds. The personal assets of the British monarch are said to have grown by £ 30 million (around 35 million euros) last year. The 76-year-old is said to have 640 million pounds (760 million euros).
Charles’ assets have apparently grown without his intervention. The increased prosperity is said to be largely due to the inherited investment portfolio, which his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). These include the private royal estates of Sandringham in Norfolk and Balmoral in Aberdeenshire, both of whom used to be the queen, and now contribute to the king’s assets. According to the “Sunday Times”, the “Sunday Times” only incorporates private assets and no possession of the crown.
King Charles leaves the Beckhams behind
With his increase in wealth, the king is now in number of the list of 350 richest individuals and families in Great Britain. In 2024 he had to be satisfied with 258. According to the report, his assets are now as great as that of the former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (45) and his wife Akshata Murty (45), with whom he shares 8th place. Another prominent couple, on the other hand, leaves King Charles behind on the rich list: David (50) and Victoria Beckham (51 )’s assets are estimated at £ 500 million. The former football star and fashion designer have to be satisfied with 273.
For the fourth time in a row, the Hinduja family, which is behind the Indian company Hinduja Group, is at the top of the “Sunday Times Rich List”. Her assets are currently valued £ 35 billion (around 41 billion euros).
