What is it like to shoot a sex scene in front of the camera? The actress Sophie Rois gives an insight – and reveals why she feels redeemed.
Actress Sophie Rois (60) has no problem shooting sex scenes. “It’s very easy,” said the Austrian on Sunday at the Berlinale.
While in private life you have no spectators during sex and are forced to behave authentically, it is different when shooting a film. “When you’re in a small room full of camera people, cheese rolls, I don’t know what, it’s very simple… you’re released from the script of your own life.”
Rois is the main actress in the film “AEIOU – The Fast Alphabet of Love”, which is to celebrate its world premiere on Sunday afternoon at the Berlinale. The film by director Nicolette Krebitz tells a love story between an older actress (Rois) and a young man (Milan Herms) who steals her bag. The two meet again later when she is supposed to give him speaking lessons. “AEIOU – The Fast Alphabet of Love” is in competition at the Berlinale.
