In 2024, Shia Labeouf (38) still came to the croisette with bleached hair – now he surprises again with a new look at Cannes Film Festival. For the photographers, the actor posed with a dense mustache and godded hair, which he had styled backwards. Shia Labeouf was casually emphasized in the photocall. The scandal actor wore a simple white T-shirt, a long black blazer. To do this, he combined black pants and color -matching shoes.

The reason for Shia Labeouf’s visit was the premiere of the documentary “Slauson Rec”. The two and a half hour film portrays the theater group of the same name, which Labeouf launched 2018 in Los Angeles. Director Leo Lewis O’Neil – even part of the troop – accompanied her work over a period of more than two years.

It is not a matter of course that Shia Labeouf advertises in Cannes for “Slauson Rec”. The documentary does not only put it in good light. The film shows its great passion for art, but also reveals manipulative and aggressive behaviors towards its students.

Shia Labeouf gave the filmmakers a free hand, he himself saw the result in Cannes for the first time. Even before the premiere, he was self -critical in an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter”: he was horrified by his own behavior. At the same time, however, he emphasized his joy for director Leo Lewis O’Neil, whom he appreciates as a close friend.

“Yes, I look like a damn asshole,” said Labouf. But also: “Yes, my boy made it to Cannes. I can be disgusted by myself and be damn happy for my buddy,” said the scandal actor.
