Heath Ledger touched the world with his roles. Michelle Williams talks about her ex-boyfriend and the daughter.
They met in 2004 on the set of “Brokeback Mountain”. In October 2005, Michelle Williams (44) and Heath Ledger (1979-2008) were already welcoming their daughter. The 19-year-old Matilda keeps the legacy of the late actor alive.
In a new episode of the, Williams expresses a rare comment about the “Joker” actor, who died in 2008, a few months after her separation. “So special, so special, thank God there is Matilda,” says Williams moved after Shepard raves from Ledger. “I don’t know if I ever fell in love with someone so quickly,” says that. He was one of the most extraordinary guys who Shepard ever met. “And I could feel the weight of the world on him in a very special way that my heart broke. I was very, very sad, and thought he was just so special.”
Heath Ledger was incredibly sensitive
Ledger had “incredible sensitivity,” adds Williams. She also talks about the challenges that a child can bring in a fresh relationship like her at the time. “We got a baby. But maybe it’s good that as a young person you don’t have so much life experience that you can put things in the right context,” sums up Williams. “You just let yourself go.”
Williams, the other children with her husband, the theater director Thomas Kail (48), have described them as great inspectors who have caused them to put their priorities on the compatibility of family and career. According to US reports, the two are said to have become parents for the third time a few weeks ago. “You can’t give up your life, work and your own wishes,” explains Williams now. But you have to keep them in check and find out “which gentleman you want to serve”.
