New hairstyle is a tribute to your mother
On Instagram, Madonna presents a new look in memory of her mother who died more than 60 years ago.
Her mother died when Madonna was only five years old. Now the 66-year-old musician icon honored her late mother by showing herself in her hairstyle. Madonna Louise Ciccone (1933-1963) died of breast cancer at the age of 30. On Sunday, May 18, her famous daughter posted, on which the blonde wore her in honor of a dark sixties wave.
Since Madonna presented herself blonde on the edge of a football game of her twelve -year -old twins Stella and Estere, it seems to have been a wig. “I missed my mother, so I chose her …”, the exceptional artist stated the lookalike photo. The singer also wore a black-printed hoodie and several necklaces, including with a Christian cross trailer.
Sick mother “let me grow up quickly”
Madonna said about her mother in 1985: “I knew that she had been falling into breast cancer for a long time, so she was very weak, but she continued and did the things she had to do. I knew that she was very fragile.” Her mother had kept her feelings and fear to herself, never complained.
Her illness and fragility “made Madonna grow up quickly”, as she further told. “I knew that I could either be sad and weak and have no control – or I could just take control and say that it would get better.”
In the documentary “Becoming Madonna” (2024), the “Queen of Pop” later revealed that the loss of her mother was for her as if “part of my heart was torn out”. In retrospect, she explained: “I think that was too much for a child.” Madonna added that she then felt an “empty”.
