The American author has been living in Switzerland for years and stays out of politics. However, she measures with the US President in his parade discipline: deal of things.
Author Donna Leon (“Commissario Brunetti”) US President Donald Trump in dispute the crown as the best dealer in the universe. While Trump and his deals are always about money and business, Leon relies on cow manure.
“All Americans are sellers like our current president,” Leon told the German Press Agency dpa with a wink. “We are always looking for deals. And I landed the most successful deal that came about in this universe.”
Leon lives in a village in Graubünden in Switzerland. There she just lifts to her garden for her neighbor’s cow manure, who has a organic farm. “The deal is: I get ten huge bags full of cow dung every September. He gets four glasses of my homemade jam and two bottles of grappa.” This is an Italian spirit.
In spring, thanks to the nutrients, your garden literally exploded with life, says Leon. On Wednesday (May 21) her new book will come out in German, a volume with stories under the title “Backstage”.
