Denzel Washington shows itself in Cannes on the red carpet. When he is groped by a photographer, he doesn’t understand fun. And the film star is brought to the palm differently.
Brought to the palm: Oscar award winner Denzel Washington clashed with a photographer on the red carpet in Cannes – and shortly afterwards there was surprisingly present a golden palm of honor at the film festival. Washington (70) visited the premiere of his film “Highest 2 Lowest” on Monday evening. Washington plays the main role in Spike Lee’s thriller.
Photographer grabs Denzel Washington on the arm
According to TV pictures, the photographer Denzel Washington at the red carpet used to attract attention. Washington then approached the man with a raised index finger and repeatedly said “Stop”.
When the actor wanted to go away, the photographer grabbed him again on her arm. Washington asked him again to stop.
Surprising honor in the cinema hall
The actor was then accumulated in the festival Palace: Spike Lee and Festival Director Thierry Frémaux presented him with the honorary prize for his artistic services.
“This is a total surprise for me, so I’m a little touched, but I thank you all with all my heart,” said Washington (“Glory”, “Training Day”, “Malcolm X”).
In “Highest 2 Lowest” Washington embodies a music mogul whose child is kidnapped. It is a reinterpretation of the crime novel “between heaven and hell” (original title: “Tengoku to Jigoku”) by the Japanese director Akira Kurosawa (1910-1998) from 1963.
