Ralf Schumacher and Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne: Elegant Red Carpet appearance in Cannes

The former Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher (49) and his French partner Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne (35) visited the premiere of the film “Alpha” at the 78th Film Festival in Cannes southern French. On this occasion, the two gentlemen had thrown themselves in classic tuxedo – black jacket with a silky lapel, white shirt, black fly, black suit pants and black paint shoes.

“Alpha” is a film drama by Julia Ducournau, which plays in Normandy in the 1980s in the northern France of Le Havre. There, 13-year-old Alpha grows up as the daughter of a doctor (Golshifteh Farahani) who works with virus patients. Alpha is marginalized at school – rumors are circulating that it is sick. One day when she comes home with a mysterious “A” tattoo, her mother panic – for fear of infections.

“Alpha” is nominated for the golden palm.

Ralf Schumacher caused a sensation in Germany in July 2024 when he shared his love for partner Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne (35) on Instagram with the world.

They were switched on live at the RTL year review “2024! People pictures emotions” last December. In conversation with Steffen Hallaschka, Schumacher revealed that his coming-out was not the result of a well-considered media strategy. Rather, at that moment he acted “very spontaneously” and without his partner’s knowledge. It was personally important to him “that we can move as normal”.

At the beginning of January, Schumacher and Bousquet Cassagne then completed their first big TV appearance as a couple. Kai Pflaume welcomed the two in the ARD Samtendst show “Klein against Groß – The Incredible Duel” (January 4). The couple chose a strong show start and drove up with an old Mercedes convertible in the studio. Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne was behind the wheel.

Ralf Schumacher was married to Cora Schumacher from 2001 to 2015, the couple lived separately since 2009. Son David Schumacher (born 2001), who is also a racing driver, comes from the marriage.
