What is currently worth streaming-such as the young adult series “Boarders” from a British noble boarding school.

An aged star, a vengeful woman and student of a noble British boarding school can be found in the streaming tips this week:

“Boarders – Welcome to St. Gilbert’s” (ZDF)

Anyone who has made it to this British elite school has a lot of money or a famous name – or both. But after the debauchery of some students, the British Nobel boarding school St. Gilbert’s wants to polish up his reputation and takes up five talented teenagers through a scholarship program, which would normally have no chance. A unique opportunity for Jaheim, Leah, Omar, Femi and Toby – and a challenge. Because the young people are black and come from simple social conditions. The British Young Adult series “Boarders-Welcome to St. Gilbert’s” on ZDF shows how you can cope with the new life in the Edelstatz.

Idea provider and screenwriter Daniel Lawrence-Taylor have incorporated his own experience at the university, as a black between mostly white students and students from the middle class. The six episodes are an entertaining mix of drama, but also comedy.

“Messiah superstar” (joyn)

In the 1990s, Thomas Janowski (Florian Lukas), also known as Messiah, was a great star. His hit “XTC” storms the charts. His girlfriend is Sabrina Setlur (Sabrina Setlur). Competitor Oli P. (Oli P.) is far away. Life could be so beautiful. But his second song “Sexy Sex” cannot already build on the success of the predecessor. 30 years later: The star of once the restaurant of his mother Bettina (Johanna Gastdorf) operates in a bleak part of Berlin-Wedding. When he gets the unique offer to be accompanied by a camera team for a documentary soap, Messiah senses the great chance of a comeback with the support of his manager Leon (Jonas Nay) – and a reunion with old acquaintances. The mockmentary has eight episodes and runs on Joyn.

“The Nazi cartel” (Sky/Wow)

Bolivia in 1980: A drug baron and a notorious Nazi war criminal overthrow the government together and thus pave the way for Pablo Escobar and the drug cartels today.

The three-part documentary series “Das Nazi-Kartell” by Sky tells a piece of world history, which has so far not been well known, in which the focus is on three very different men: Roberto Suárez, a Bolivian businessman who controls 80 percent of the global cocaine trade in the late 1970s. Then war criminal Klaus Barbie, who was responsible for the death of thousands of Jews as Lyon’s Gestapo boss and, after the war under the name Klaus Altmann, builds up a new existence in Bolivia.

And Michael Levine, an American undercover agent of the US drug authority, who wants to bring Suárez to the way. The series with many interviews from contemporary witnesses can be seen at Sky and on the streaming service WoW.

Rhiannon Lewis is an inconspicuous woman. And that is exactly your problem. Not being perceived by others is a great annoyance for them. The supermarket cashier who ignores her. Norman from work that constantly underestimates her. Or Julia, who has badly bullied and humiliated her in school. All people who make her feel invisible.

Hurtful, says Rhiannon. “Sometimes I make a list of people I would like to kill,” she says and decides not to be the victim, but to take things into my own hands. Ella Purnell, known from the SCI-Fi series “Fallout”, plays the young woman in the bizarre British series “Sweetpea”. The six episodes are available at Magenta TV.

Many adults grew up with the cartoon series “Heidi” from the 1970s. When the episodes in the Japanese Anime style 2015 were reissued in 3D look, some could not make friends with the figures created on the computer. However, nostalgics can now indulge in childhood memories.

On Prime Video, the old series can be found about the happy girl, who lives in the grandfather, the Alm-Höhi, in the mountains, experienced stray and adventure with her goats and her boyfriend Peter. The new edition can also be found here. For borrowing or buying there is also the “Heidi” films according to the stories of the Swiss author Johanna Spyri.
