The new wax figure by Princess Kate at Madame Tussauds London is equipped with a special, royal look.
Princess Kate (43) receives a new wax figure at Madame Tussauds London. From Thursday, May 22nd, visitors can marvel at these, like. The new figure is wearing a very special dress.
In Jenny Packham in the sequin dress
The princess’s lifelike model joins the replicas of her husband Prince William (42) as well as King Charles (76) and Queen Camilla (77) in a scene that is exhibited in the tourist attraction at Baker Street. The clothes are reminiscent of the look, which Kate wore at the annual diplomatic reception in Buckingham Palace in December 2023: a dark pawn dress by Jenny Packham, silver pumps Rania 105 by Gianvito Rossi and her favorite theater “Lover’s Knot”, which once from her late mother-in-law Princess Diana (1961-197) was worn. The look is rounded off by the blue sash of the Royal Victorian Order, the Royal Family Order by Queen Elisabeth II (1926-2022) and replicas of the Greville-Diamond-Ehrrings.
William also got an update
Jo Kinsey, Madame Tussauds London’s studio manager, told Daily Mail that twelve artists needed for a year to create every single detail of Kate’s look, while another team needed five months to reproduce their costume.
Prince William’s figure has also been redesigned and is now wearing a black tuxedo by Ede and Ravenscroft and a white tie.
Madame Tussauds presented a wax figure from Kate for the first time in April 2012, a year after her wedding with Prince William. Shortly after the 14th wedding anniversary, the future British royal couple was now given a fresh look.
