This makes the heart of “Buffy” fans beat faster: Alyson Hannigan and Sarah Michelle Gellar attended a film premiere together.
More than 20 years ago, Sarah Michelle Gellar (48) and Alyson Hannigan (51) performed in the series “Buffy – in the spell of the demons” together as Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg. Now the former co-stars posed together on the red carpet on the occasion of a special project.
Film project on meningitis
The film “Pretty Hurts” was presented in Los Angeles, for which the stars have teamed up to clarify meningitis. The drama stars entered the blue carpet in arm in arm at the premiere. Gellar had chosen a black, coalitionless velvet overall. Hannigan opted for a Burgundian colored dress with a flower pattern.
The 51-year-old is the new spokeswoman for the “ASK2BSure” campaign. She decided to get involved after hearing true stories of families affected by meningitis. “As a mother, I know how difficult it can be to keep everything under control, especially when it comes to the health of my teenager, and it is so important to ask the right questions about meningitis risk and vaccination,” said.
New hunter for “Buffy” reboot
Only a few days before the little “Buffy” reunion on the blue carpet was there a news from the series universe. As the industry magazine “Deadline” reported, young talent Ryan Kiera Armstrong (15) is to take over the leading role in the reboot of “Buffy – in the spell of the demons” for years and become the “new hunter”. “From the moment I saw Ryan’s audition, I knew that there was only a girl I wanted to have by my side,” enthused Gellar. “To have this emotional intelligence and talent at such a young age is a real gift. And the bonus: her smile is illuminating the darkest space even.”
