Kim Kardashian has long been committed to the rights of prisoners and for criminal law reform. Her father was a prominent lawyer. Now she has come a step closer to her goal.
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian (44) celebrates her degree: “I finally completed my law studies after six years,” wrote the entrepreneur and mother of four in an Instagram story. She posted videos of a celebration in the circle of family and friends, where she wears the typical, rectangular graduate hat.
Human rights lawyer Jessica Jackson, who was at the side of Kardashian as a mentor, congratulated her during the ceremony. Kardashian has started the program with a “passionate wish to fight for justice”. For six years she put it in training for 18 hours a week and 48 weeks a year, said Jackson. “I’m so proud of her,” Sister Khloé Kardashian (40) agreed in an Instagram story.
In 2018 her path began in a law firm
In recent years, Kim Kardashian has repeatedly campaigned for the pardon of prisoners in the United States. The entrepreneur has been trained as a lawyer since 2018. At that time she started an internship in a law firm in San Francisco. Instead of studying law at a university, she chose the possible path in California about cooperation in a law firm and accompanying study courses.
In the fourth attempt, she made the first Jura exam known as the “Baby Bar”. “I failed three times in this exam in two years, but I got up every time and learned harder and tried again until I made it,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
In order to settle down in California as a lawyer, she would have to take another examination after the completion of the study program. Her late father Robert Kardashian was a celebrity lawyer who was part of the defender team of OJ Simpson.
