Olly Murs had to cancel his sold -out appearance in Glasgow after only 20 minutes. He then explained on Instagram.
The British pop singer Olly Murs (41) had to disappoint his fans in Glasgow. He broke off his sold -out concert evening in the Hydro Arena after only 20 minutes and six songs abruptly. “This has never happened to me, but you can hear that my voice is going away,” Murs visibly took away from his audience. “I would like to give you the concert that you deserve, so I can’t go on. I will come back, but I have to go now.”
Singer felt struck
A few hours later, the 41-year-old spoke up and addressed an emotional apology to his followers. “Glasgow, I’m so sorry that I had to go after six songs and have to cancel the show. I have never done it in 15 years.”
The “Troubleker” interpreter explained the dramatic course of the evening to his fans: “Most of the time we can hold out as a singer if our voice is not at 100 percent. I went out tonight and thought my voice was great. I felt a bit struck, but I didn’t think I couldn’t get the show, otherwise I would not have come out.”
However, the reality on stage was different. “As you can probably hear from my voice, she just sounded terrible, and it is unfair to you who have given all the money to see me. You earn the best show and me in the best form,” said Murs and concluded with the words: “I am sorry, hopefully I can recover from it.”
The singer announced that it was still a doctor on Thursday evening and hoped to be able to give his fans an update about his upcoming shows soon. His “15 Years of Hits” tour should actually lead the singer to Manchester on May 23. At the weekend there are appearances in Birmingham and London.
