Taylor Swift is not charged in the “IT ends with us” right dispute

The Blake Lively team has confirmed that her long-time friend Taylor Swift does not have to testify as part of the “IT Ends With Us” process. The actress has been in a legal dispute with her former co-star Justin Baldoni since the beginning of the year. In the course of this, Baldoni’s team also invited the pop star – apparently because of her friendship with LIVELY. The singer should say what she knows about the argument from her girlfriend. A LIVELY spokesman now confirmed that the summons were withdrawn.

According to the statement, Lively’s legal team was “pleased” that Baldoni’s lawyers “withdrawn the harassment of Taylor Swift and her law firm”. In addition, it continues: “We have supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to lift these inappropriate lectures to their lawyer, and we will continue to work for all third parties that are unjustified or threatened as part of the procedure.”

Lively’s spokesman was certain that Baldonis teams had tried “Taylor Swift, a woman who has inspired millions of people worldwide to focus on the case” and to “exploit their celebrity”. “In view of the justification in front of a federal court, they have given up. At some point, the diversion maneuvers will assume that they are faced with the actual allegations of sexual harassment and retaliation with which they are confronted,” said the speaker.

Detailed Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman previously claimed that Lively had put her girlfriend under pressure to put herself publicly on her side – otherwise private text messages would be published. Lively’s lawyers then rejected the allegations. Swift himself also distanced himself from the allegations.

Swift was only associated with the film that she had approved the use of her song “My Tears Ricochet”. “Taylor Swift never set a foot on the set of this film, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions,” said her spokesman. During the filming, she traveled around the world with her “The Eras” tour.

The case goes back to filming the film “It Ends With Us”, in which Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni play the leading roles. Baldoni also directed the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover. The film started in the cinemas in August 2024. A few months later, in December of the same year, Lively filed a complaint to the California authority for civil rights – shortly afterwards a lawsuit for sexual harassment and a suspected dirt campaign against her followed.

Baldoni has decidedly rejected the allegations since then and reacted with a $ 400-million-against-action lawsuit. In it he accuses LIVELY, her husband Ryan Reynolds and her company defamation, extortion and violation of his privacy.
