At the premiere of “Colors of Time”, lady Helen Mirren appeared with a breathtaking jewelry creation – inspired by the Great Barrier Reef.
Dame Helen Mirren (79) always causes glamorous surprises in Cannes. At the premiere of “Colors of Time”, the British acting icon with two extraordinary statement accessories appeared: a spectacular necklace and an oversized fascinator.
In total, Mirren wore gemstones worth over 400 karat – and impressed the photographers on the edge of the red carpet. Her elegant look consisted of a high -necked black evening dress with puff sleeves, accentuated by a floor -length, turquoise -colored sash. The ensemble was crowned by a black, flower -shaped fascinator on her head. She wore classic pearl earrings on the ears. However, the undisputed eye -catcher of her outfit was the exclusive collier with the name “Marina Collier”.
Masterful jewelry art on the red carpet
The jewelry designed by Margot Kinney is a masterpiece of jewelry art: two large green Berylle with 241 and 109 karat form the heart of the chain, supplemented by a 65-class aquamarine. Each of these magnificent stones is surrounded by an artistic arrangement made of green beryl, aquamarine, tourmaline, sapphire, diamonds, paraibas and tsavoriten – in 18 -carat gold. The crowning glory formed 29 rare baroque beads from the Australian South Pacific.
the chain was inspired by the Great Barrier Reef and the coral sea – a tribute to the beauty of nature, captured in a unique piece of jewelry.
Helen Mirren doesn’t need bare skin to attract attention
This year the festival organization has issued a stricter dress code that prohibits too much bare skin and dresses with too much fabric, for example in the form of long towing. Helen Mirren’s appearance at the Film Festival proves that it does not always have to be the deep cleavage or the XXL towing to attract attention on the red carpet.
