A theatrical dialogue between the European Union and the Argentine scene arrives

In the Martín Coronado Room of the San Martín Theater, it will take place “Theatrical dialogues: Dramaturgy of the European Union, Argentine scene”, A space for creation and exchange that promotes the artistic crossing between contemporary European playwrights and the Argentine scene.

Five works by authors of Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland and Poland will be presented in the Major Hall of the Complete theater of Buenos Aires in the semi -simed format, with staging by local artists, opening a space for creative dialogue, international cooperation and future projection.

The initiative is from the Delegation of the European Union in Argentina, in collaboration with the CTBA, the Metropolitan School of Dramatic Art (EMAD) and support of the Cultural Relations Platform.

On Tuesday, June 3 at 6:00 p.m. it will be the turn of “The house of Monkey Island” (Germany) by Rebekka Kricheldorf with the direction of Monina Bonelli; At 20, “Bitter Country” (Cyprus) of Constantia Soteryou can be seen with the direction of Alfredo Staffolani; On Wednesday 4 at 18 there is “Lovely People” (Finland) of Antti Hielala towards Jorge Eiro; On Thursday 5 he goes up to the scene “Archive Case” (Belgium) by Luca Franceschi with the direction of Juan Francisco Dasso; On Friday 6 at 18, “foreign bodies” (Poland) of Julia Holewiska with the direction of Lorena Romanin can be seen.

Antti Hietala and Hinriikka Lindqvist (Finland), Carole Ventura (Belgium), Constantia Soterou (Cyprus) and Julia Holewiska (Poland), who will share experiences with local teams. Each function will be followed by a question and answers session (Q&A), where the public can directly dialogue with Directors and playwright.

In addition to the presentations in the Sala, the cycle will offer a special program that includes workshops, conversations and reflection tables on contemporary dramaturgy, translation and adaptation processes, and theatrical management models in the EU and Argentina. These activities will happen in the headquarters – headquarters and the stained glass window and are designed as open spaces for future exchange, training and projection for artists, students and general public.

Special activities: Tuesday 3 at 12.40 the conversation is carried out – new European dramaturgies in the EMAD; On Wednesday 4 at 13.30 it will be the turn of the Round Table on “Translation, adaptation and assembly” Meanwhile, on Thursday at 14, the theater management and the actuality of the theater in Europe and Argentina will be discussed in the EMAD. The entrance to the functions and activities is free and free. The cycle has the collaboration of the Embassies of Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, Finland and Poland, and the Goethe-Institut Buenos Aires. The project receives the support of the Cultural Relations Platform, an initiative funded by the European Union to strengthen international cultural relations, promoting dialogue and cooperation through art.
