The most dreaded juror of “Let’s Dance” defended its hard demands: “We can’t all sit there with a big heart.”
“Let’s Dance” Juror Joachim Llambi does not always make friends with his strict assessments in the RTL show, but he stands for his hard attitude. “One has to give the viewer, who usually doesn’t have so much idea about dancing.
“There are terms, it is about movements, it is about techniques, it is about rhythms. Aspects that do not notice every layperson immediately. What happens on the parquet is not just a question of beautiful costumes, beautiful music and atmosphere,” he explained.
“Everything was flushed up a bit” “
The ability to criticize in society has changed significantly in recent years, “unfortunately the negative”, as Llambi said. “Everything has been rinsed a bit, people are no longer on discourse. I am born in 1964, I didn’t learn it any other way. Everyone was able to speak more than anything, but everyone also respected the opinion of the other. That changed significantly and I wish we would come back.”
Llambi emphasized “We don’t have to go to the Gurgel, but you have to be able to confront different views with respect. That has been lost in society. I think everyone should be able to clear their point of view, as with our jury. You rub yourself. But friction creates warmth and warmth.”
“I don’t want to be a villain”
One thing he wants to say: “If there is complaints via social media, why I don’t give 10, even though I would have decided last week or a year ago. I look at every show individually. I do not make a historical comparisons. I don’t want to be a bad guy, but we are looking for performance. I sometimes have to remember.”
In the “Let’s Dance” final this year, the very first time is only men: Reck Olympic champion Fabian Hambüchen (37), swimmer Taliso Engel (22) and Diego Pooth (21), son of the moderator Verona Pooth, fight for the title “Dancing Star”.
