Sebastião Salgado is dead. The well -known photographer and environmentalist died at the age of 81.
The Brazilian photographer Sebastião Salgado (1944-2025) is dead. Salgado died on May 23 at the age of 81. Among other things, Salgado was known for startling photos of refugees, pictures from a gold mine in Serra Pelada and for environmental shots. Salgado, born in the municipality of Aimorés in the state of Minas Gerais, was also very committed as an environmentalist.
