For weeks, celebrities danced at RTL – now there is a new “dancing star”.
The youngest candidate is the winner: Diego Pooth has won the RTL dance show “Let’s Dance”. The son Verona Pooth is now allowed to call herself “Dancing Star” in 2025. The 21 -year -old, together with his dance partner Ekaterina Leonova, prevailed in the final against the 22 -year -old swimmer Taliso Engel in second place and Olympic champion Fabian Hambüchen (37) – even though he had received the fewest points from the jury. It was an “incredible feeling”, said Pooth. He expected to end up in third place.
Because while Hambüchen had received the full score for all of his three dances, Pooth landed third in the jury voting after a “not so great freestyle”, as juror Joachim Llambi said. The winner also reacted accordingly – and a little disappointed the favorite Hambüchen. Diego Pooth’s mother Verona was proud after her son’s tough training weeks: “15 weeks locked up in the gym – and there was something beautiful.”
