Many performers can hardly keep themselves over water financially. So also Tina Ruland, who went to the jungle camp.
In an interview with the magazine “Bunte”, actress Tina Ruland (58) pointed out the precarious financial situation of her profession. She could not live on acting alone, she announced. In addition, she needs other sources of income: “That’s why I was also in reality formats like the jungle camp.” This is the only reason why she can still live well, the 58-year-old continues.
“Many people still have the wrong idea of the life of the actors. They believe who is on television lives in a villa,” says Ruland. But the truth is different. She doesn’t know any other industry in which the fees and salaries would “go down” and further. Actors would earn “sometimes well under minimum wages”.
Tina Ruland was already at “Let’s Dance”
Born in Cologne, she became known in the early 1990s due to her role of hairdresser Uschi in the cult comedy “Manta, Manta” alongside Til Schweiger (61). Previously, she started a career as a model and was also photographed in several editions of the men’s magazine “Playboy”.
Overall, Ruland already played in more than 70 film and television productions in her long career, including in the films “Hard Jungs” (2000) and also in the sequel “Manta Manta – Zwoter part” (2023). Ruland also participated in well -known series and rows such as “The Dream Ship”, “The Prosecutor”, “A case for two” or the “crime scene”. In addition to her use in the 15th season of the RTL jungle camp “I’m a star – get me out of here!” (2022) she was also seen in the formats “Let’s Dance” (2018) and the ProSieben game show “Destination X” (2024).
Tina Ruland has two sons from two failed relationships and lives in Berlin with her children.
