Father’s Day 2025: These celebrities celebrate as fathers for the first time

From politics to show business – this year too, many prominent men can be celebrated as fathers for the first time. On May 29, Ascension Day, traditional Father’s Day is pending in Germany.

It starts with FDP politician Christian Lindner (46), who became a father in April 2025. “A few days ago we became parents of our first child,” he wrote together with his wife, journalist Franca Lehfeldt (35), on Instagram. For the finance minister, Father’s Day becomes a very personal milestone.

There are also prominent offspring from the football world: Kai Havertz (25) was able to look forward to the birth of his first son in March 2025. “Welcome to the world, our little boy. We love you so much,” the Arsenal star proudly announced at the time. His wife Sophia and he can now celebrate their first Father’s Day together.

Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (35) has been dad since July 2024 and is also experiencing his Father’s Day premiere this year. The actor, musician and reality star deliberately keeps his little family out of the public – the first official day as a celebrated father is all the more important.

Reality star Maurice Dziwak (26) became dad shortly before his jungle camp in January 2025. The former “Bachelor” winner Jennifer Lange (31) and her musician husband Darius Zander announced the birth of her son Anton in September 2024. For a photo that the family shows in intimate pose, for a long time wrote: “There you are … our little miracle.”

Singer Álvaro Soler (34) and Model Melanie Kroll were also able to look forward to their first baby in July 2024.

While the German celebrities can celebrate at the end of May, international stars have to wait a little longer. In the United States, Great Britain and many other countries, Father’s Day falls on June 15th.

The international new fathers include “Gossip Girl” star Ed Westwick (37), who became parents in March 2025 with his wife Amy Jackson. “Welcome to the world, little boy,” they wrote to an emotional family photo. “This is us” actor Milo Ventimiglia (47) can also look forward to his first Father’s Day – his wife Jarah Mariano gave birth to daughter Ke’ala in January. “Yellowstone” star Luke Grimes (41) and his wife Bianca proudly announced in October 2024: “And then there were three.”

Luca Hänni (30) and his Christina (35) became parents for the first time in mid -June 2024. The “Let’s Dance” dream couple announced the birth with a photo. “Our family band has a new band leader,” it said. For him as a Swiss, the first Father’s Day as a dad falls on June 1, 2025.

Actress Andrea Gerhard (41) and her colleague David Wehle became parents for the first time in February 2025. The “Bergdoktor” actress on Instagram announced the birth of her son. The Austrian Wehle celebrates Father’s Day on June 8th.

Max Verstappen (27) has a special situation: The Dutch-Belgian Formula 1 champion and his partner Kelly Piquet welcomed daughter Lily in May 2025. He can choose whether to celebrate his first Father’s Day on June 8 (Belgium) or on June 15 (Netherlands).
