Auction with objects of the cult director
Over 450 objects from David Lynch’s property are auctioned – from director’s chair to the espresso machine.
Fans of the late US cultural director David Lynch (1946-2025) can secure a piece of film history: On June 18, more than 450 personal items come from the hammer. The auction takes place both online and in the auction house in Gardena.
The highlight of the auction is Lynch’s personal director’s chair, whose backrest bears his name in golden letters. The chair is estimated at $ 5,000 to $ 7,000. Also on offer: Lynchs La Marzocco GS/3 espresso machine from his home that could give coffee lovers for an estimated $ 2,000 to $ 3,000 a “damn good cup of coffee” – an allusion to the auction house on the iconic dialogue from “Twin Peaks” (1990-1991, 2017).
“Twin Peaks” fans can set up their own black lodge
Especially for “Twin Peaks” enthusiasts, the auction harbors real treasures. A red curtain and a black and white zigzag carpet in the style of the famous Black Lodge are available for $ 1,000 to $ 2,000. The surreal ambience is completed by a large -format, framed photo of an atomic bomb explosion from Gordon Coles office, which was seen in the seventh episode of “Twin Peaks: The Return”.
The most valuable unique piece is a hand -drawn and signed concept card of the fictional city of Twin Peaks. This is offered at the “Hollywood Legends” auction on June 19 and 20 for an estimated $ 40,000 to $ 60,000.
Revisites from the Lynch cosmos
The auction includes Memorabilia from Lynch’s entire work, including objects from “Mulholland Drive”, “Eraserhead”, “The Elephant Man” and “Blue Velvet”. Fans can even purchase Lynch’s personal 35mm copy of his debut film “Eraserhead” – but without a projector.
Other objects include musical instruments from his home studio, furniture, works of art, tools from his wood workshop and painting utensils from his studio. Also a vintage chill couch similar to that from “Lost Highway” and four props menus from Winkie’s Sunset BLVD. “Mulholland Drive” are waiting for new owners.
