Annemarie Carpendale talks about her 20th anniversary as a “Taff” presenter and looks back on breakdowns, highlights and colleagues.

The “Taff” boulevard magazine was first broadcast on May 29, 1995, celebrating its 30th anniversary. Annemarie Carpendale (47) has been in front of the camera for 20 years as a moderator. In an interview with the news agency Spot on News, the wife of actor Wayne Carpendale (48) tells whether she will celebrate her anniversary what rituals she has before the live broadcasts. She also reveals what son Mads (7) thinks of her TV job and whether she has already thought of quitting.

30 years “Taff” and 20 years with you as a moderator. How does that feel for you?

Annemarie Carpendale: Total Surreal. I still feel like 30, of course such numbers are particularly crazy. But on the other hand, it also makes you totally proud to have been the best team in the world for so long and to bring a successful show on Air every day.

Will you particularly celebrate your own anniversary or have you already celebrated it?

Carpendale: We just felt like weighed with 15 wild fish and octopuses and all family members Mads’ 7th birthday with an ocean pool party. I’m served at first. No, I actually celebrate every day that our little big show has been with me for so long and I still love to go to work every day.

If you look back on your “taff” beginnings: What do you remember most?

Carpendale: Oh, my chic Blazer-over roll collar sweater style-my bosses wanted it to show the world at the time that I am no longer the Viva girl that moderated the “Club Rotation” up and down. Of course I felt totally disguised – and that was definitely not the solution as you can see today in my clothing style.

What embarrassing or funny breakdowns have you experienced at “Taff”?

Carpendale: Oh, my nursing dog barked from the off live on the show – of course, when it was totally inappropriate. The microphone also fell from the clothing when the recording manager said “and please” and we were on it and suddenly you had something pretty inappropriate between your legs.

I already had the most blatant laugh flash, where I could simply say nothing anymore and only had to laugh for the rest of the moderation. But it is precisely these things that make up our live broadcast. That is why the spectators find this exciting, they are always live.

What do the spectators never see, even though it is absolutely decisive behind the scenes of “Taff”?

Carpendale: Of course, Live never runs smoothly. All contributions are never finished in good time, often technically not everything works as it should. But that is exactly what you want to compensate as a live presenter so that the spectators don’t notice anything. I particularly enjoy this challenge every day.

How do you approach the moderation of a “taff” show? Do you have rituals?

Carpendale: Does half a liter of cola count per day as a ritual? It is important: no matter how chaotic it is before the show, I write my texts myself. Then you can tell the moderations and stories best and the most authentic, because it is not memorized and said.

What highlight editions were there for you?

Carpendale: Ui, especially remembered, our summer specials are particularly remembered – from the Greek islands to the Balearic Islands to the World Cup in Brazil 2014. The latter was my absolute highlight. We were live on site for two weeks and lived together at Copacabana in an apartment that was regularly under water. And because of the seven hours of time to Germany, it always went into the mask very early in the morning. That means I went through half of the time anyway, because it was just so unique to feel the Vibes in this incredible city with these incredible people in the evening after the public viewing. Hach, beam me back, please.

There were always changes and farewells in the moderation team. Which farewells have been particularly difficult for you and why?

Carpendale: Sure, that is also part of it when you are there for so long – people come and go. Even behind the camera I never like saying goodbye. But when Thore went a few months ago, such a small “tough” world broke together. We are simply very friends, often moved around the houses in the evening after the show. He had taken over my friend’s apartment in Munich from student times, that is, for me, gate gave a piece of “crazy old times” from Munich.

How do you think “Taff” could survive in such a fast -moving time until today?

Carpendale: By staying true to our values, but also reinvent ourselves and open for new trends. But above all: by being live every day. So the spectators always have the feeling that they are there live when something happens – they are too – ideally they learn nothing about the bankruptcies, bad luck and breakdown.

How has your work on “Taff” changed since you have your own family?

Carpendale: Actually not at all. Except that the day should now have a lot more than 24 hours.

Does your son already look “taff” or does he know what they are doing there?

Carpendale: Except “Logo!” There are no regular television for children at home. I am totally glad that Mad’s radio plays love and prefers to pull one after the other – the podcaster of tomorrow. But of course, he knows that we work on TV, and every now and then when grandma and grandpa are there or something special happens, then he can also look along. Otherwise, for him it is as if we are going to a normal job – regardless of whether this is the broadcaster, the office, the practice or the workshop. Mama and dad work a lot from his point of view, as is probably in every family.

How long do you want to stay with “Taff” and have you ever thought of quitting?

Carpendale: I’ve never thought of it. I think the moment just comes out of the stomach at some point – or just never.
