That’s why Lilly Becker moves to Düsseldorf
Jungle Queen Lilly Becker moved to Germany from England in August. In an interview, she explains the motives.
The cubes have fallen: Lilly Becker (48) exchanges London for Düsseldorf. What the jungle queen moves to this radical step. “Actually, Germany is more beautiful than England (…) Germany has a lot more to offer,” she enthuses about her upcoming adopted home. In England everything concentrates on London, but outside the world metropolis there is hardly anything left – in contrast to Germany.
Already after her jungle victory in February, Boris Becker (57 )’s ex-wife had played with the idea of making Germany a new home. Now she puts the mind games into reality: In August she will move to Düsseldorf together with her 15-year-old son Amadeus. Preparations are already in full swing – the house is rented, Amadeus has already found a school.
Love takes you to Düsseldorf
A crucial reason for Düsseldorf’s election is Lilly Becker’s private life. Sports manager Thorsten Weck also lives there, with whom she has had a long -distance relationship since 2022. “For Thorsten and me this is another step in our relationship” ,. The spatial proximity should strengthen the partnership without the couple being overwhelming.
“But we’ll take it slowly. Now I want to be there for Amadeus until he grows up,” Lilly emphasizes her priorities. The teenager comes first for you, even if the move is an emotional challenge for both. “We are both nervous,” admits her honestly, but her son supports his mother: “But Amadeus said to me: ‘Mommy, I trust you. Only make it as cozy as you always do.'”
Germany also offers better prospects in terms of career. As an incumbent jungle queen, she has achieved a popularity here that can be used professionally. “I don’t worry so much about myself. But of course I come with my son,” she explains her motives pragmatically. Lilly doesn’t worry that her son will automatically get more attention in Germany. “He will go to school, and there he is not the only one who has a famous father. It all gets okay and I guess it will not be that he goes on the red carpet,” believes the former Dutch model.
