A new list of the palace shows what the British royals get as free. King Charles received a luxury car from Bahrain for the crowning glory. Gifts also came from Germany.

Great Britain’s King Charles III. (76) received a luxury car for the crowning glory. The king of Bahrain gave him a Rolls-Royce, as can be seen from a new list of the palace. The royal family publicly makes the official gifts the members of the Royal Family have received in recent years.

The gifts from 2020 to 2023 come from other heads of state, organizations and state visits. The Rolls-Royce is not for private use, but only for official purposes such as state occasions, reported the British news agency PA.

What Charles got from Germany

For example, two years ago, Charles also received a spring crown, perfume, hiking shoes, cufflinks, a sword and several plants. From the then US President Joe Biden he received a leather folder with printed letters that his mother Queen Elizabeth II had exchanged and US President D. Eisenhower.

Gifts from Germany are also listed in the list. Charles’ first state visit as king led him to Germany in March 2023. According to the palace, he received about a watch, an insect hotel and a CD and DVD set to Ludwig van Beethoven, according to the palace.

Equipment for snorkeling for Kate and William

Throng successor Prince William (42) and his wife Princess Kate (43) were given some equipment for snorkeling during a Caribbean trip – including a wetsuit and diving fins. During the trip in 2022 there were also protests against the Royals.

Official gifts could be carried and used, explained the Pa news agency. However, the objects would not be considered a private property of the Royals. Accordingly, gifts must not be sold or exchanged, but finally become part of the royal collection.
