Juhnke is to get his own place on Kurfürstendamm. On his 20th anniversary of death in April it didn’t work. But slowly it could be something.
A Harald-Juhnke-Platz is to be built on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin-the exact area for this is now determined. The area at the Kurfürstendamm, Grolmanstraße and Uhlandstrasse intersection is almost 470 square meters in size and is to be officially named as soon as possible after the Berlin actor and entertainer, as the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district office announced on dpa request.
Are there any objections to the renaming?
The renaming is effective if there are no contradictions against it by September 1st. Only then can the street sign be set up, which the FDP faction in the district parliament has long since had been made.
Harald Juhnke was born in the city of Charlottenburg in 1929 and started a career as an actor early on. For around five decades, he was one of the formative figures in the entertainment industry in theater and German television. He was closely connected to the theater scene in the west of Berlin. He died on April 1, 2005.
