The British Oscar winner Helen Mirren tells how you gave a rifle in her hands strange happiness.
Oscar winner Helen Mirren (“Die Queen”) told her fascination for weapons. “Weapons are very dangerous,” said the 79-year-old British in a format of the magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. “I hate weapons, but it is somehow a lot of fun having one in your hand.” As a fellow actor Parker Posey (“The White Lotus”) asks if she liked shooting, Mirren replies: “It’s instinctive, isn’t it?”
Mirren played a rancher in the Western saga “1923” in the 1920s, which, among other things, defends herself against her enemies with rifles. Mirren explained that she shot herself during the shooting.
The second season of “1923” was published by Paramount+in February. Mirren and Harrison Ford play a ranch couple in it. Stars like Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone or Demi Moore can also be seen in the “Yellowstone” spin-off.
