Laura Wontorra: Work-Life balance is her “largest construction site”

Work-life balance is your “largest construction site”

Laura Wontorra describes her work-life balance as her “largest construction site”. In July, however, she really wants to switch off.

Laura Wontorra (36) lives in the permanent turbo mode. The moderator honestly admitted what many people know: “I would say that the largest construction site in my life is the work-life balance.” After an intensive Bundesliga season and the Icon League, the next RTL formats are already on the program-this time away from sport with “Ninja Warrior” and “Grill den Henssler”.

An anecdote from the latest cup weekend shows how extreme your everyday work sometimes becomes. Her brother had to remind the completely clamped moderator after work to eat anything at all. “So we are midnight on a booth and have shared french fries. It was fun, but it doesn’t work every day,” says Wontorra.

Establishment as a recipe for success

However, the 36-year-old sees this “high pace” as a decisive building block of her success. “No matter what job you do, I think you are interested in if you are good. My claim is to be good. And I also practice foregoneing,” she explains her philosophy. She consciously draws the comparison with top athletes: “Ask the very big athletes who are and were ready to do without things-and are not so good at getting a good work-life balance.”

As a balance to the stressful everyday life, she likes to spend time with her dog. And there is hope: For July, Wontorra has planned to “completely free” and not be available during this time. “I firmly decided to switch off,” she promises.

Your last longer break was a few months ago. Before the turn of the year, Wontorra said goodbye. In November, the daughter of Jörg Wontorra (76) had as part of a Red Carpet appearance in Berlin that she will soon fulfill “a little lifelong dream”. “I have to celebrate Christmas a bit because I am over Christmas this year [und] I’m on vacation on vacation, “she said.” I think I’m on the water for 21 days in the Antarctic. Alone, all with me alone – a little me -time. “
