A Viennese raised allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The alleged attack is said to have taken place in Vienna in 2000.
While Sean “Diddy” is on trial in the USA for sex trade and organized crime, an Austrian now also makes serious accusations against the 55-year-old rapper. The Viennese Kathi Steininger accuses the music producer of raping her in 2000 after a concert in Vienna,
From interview appointment to alleged assault
According to Combs’ appearance in March 2000, the alleged attack is said to have occurred in the “Libro Music Hall” at that time. The then 19-year-old worked as a moderator for an online broadcaster and was in a professional function at the event. After the concert, she wanted to have an interview with the rapper in the club “Olympia P9”, which was still called “Puff Daddy” at that time.
According to them, the bodyguards separated them from their cameraman and brought them to the tour bus under the pretext that the club was too loud for an interview. There the rapper offered her drinks, which he gave himself. Steininger suspects that they were moved with co-drops or the like. After that, the alleged assault occurred.
Legal processing difficult
Steininger therefore contacted lawyers in the USA and also filed a complaint in Austria. The Vienna public prosecutor confirms a corresponding advertisement to “Puls 24”. However, the investigation was “discontinued subject to later persecution”.
A legal processing of the case is complex. In the United States, it is only possible in exceptional cases to take a criminal offense against alleged crimes committed abroad. In Austria, the alleged act would actually be time -barred, but could be relevant again if there is a conviction for similar acts in the United States.
Long -term consequences for the person concerned
Steininger reports serious psychological consequences. She developed a post -traumatic stress disorder and became unable to work. With her step to the public, she would like to help with the investigation. Combs’ lawyers have not yet answered “Puls 24” inquiries.
