Actor submits urgent application for daughter

Joshua Jackson makes an urgent application: his ex is said to have registered the common daughter at a new school without his consent.

The custody drama between Joshua Jackson (46) and Jodie Turner-Smith (38) apparently escalated. As reported on the present documents, the “Doctor Odyssey” star submitted an urgent application to change the custody on Friday, June 30th. The reason: Turner-Smith is said to have registered the five-year-old daughter Juno together without Jackson’s permission at a new school.

In his affidavit, Jackson claimed that Turner-Smith saw it as a “not a big deal” to “force Juno to start from the front at a new school”. The actor is external, “that Jodie tries to create a scenario in which Juno travels with her instead of attending a traditional school”.

Fight for the right choice of school

Jackson asks the court to order that Juno continues to attend school that she already knows – at least for the coming school year. In addition, he demands that future school changes can only be made with the joint consent of both parents. Representatives of both sides would initially not have reacted to inquiries from the magazine.

The two actors got to know each other in 2018 and secretly married in 2019. Her daughter Juno was born in April 2020. After around four years of marriage, Turner-Smith filed for divorce in October 2023. The couple initially agreed on the mutual custody of his daughter.

Disputed topic of school choice

In May 2025, the ex-couple agreed on a divorce agreement. However, the ex-partners did not agree on Juno’s school choice. According to court documents, Turner -Smith in 2024 had received the right to make “the final decision” about the formation of her daughter – but only after consultation with Jackson.

In October 2024, Turner-Smith admitted that the common custody was “complicated”. “It is an adaptation phase for everyone if you separate yourself from someone because you are used to being with your child all the time,” said the “Queen & Slim” actress at the time.
