“I have no problem accepting this diagnosis. On the way there, I found moral support in the view of my 94-year-old father that the organism resigned over time: ‘I take, what works,’ he says.
“Some of me wanted to go public with it. As I said, it was not problematic for me to recognize the diagnosis; what prevented me from doing so was the need for peace of mind,” Harket explains. “I try to do what is best countered by the decay of the system. It is a demanding balancing act between medication and side effects,” said the 65-year-old.
Various treatment approaches have alleviated harkents symptoms, it is said that Parkinson’s is not curable. “In June 2024, he underwent a neurosurgical procedure in which electrodes were implanted deep in the brain on the left,” explains Omdahl in his article on the band website.
“The electrodes are connected to a small, pacemaker -like device that is implanted under the skin of the chest and sends high frequency current into the brain via the electrodes,” he writes.
