For singer Michelle, 2022 is a double anniversary year: she celebrates her 50th birthday on February 15th. In addition, her 30th stage anniversary is coming up. In the early 2000s, she suffered several setbacks – including a minor stroke and depression. She withdrew from the Schlager world for a while. In 2005 Michelle successfully reported back with the album “Leben”. In 2007, she left the limelight again after suffering a dizzy spell.
But Michelle fought for her comeback: the album “Goodbye Michelle” was released in 2009, followed a year later by the long player “Der Beste Moment”. Her children come from three different men: Céline Oberloher (*1997) from Michelle’s marriage to singer Albert Oberloher (59), Marie Reim (21) from her relationship with hit star Matthias Reim (64) and Mia-Carolin Shitawey (*2008) from his marriage to Josef Shitawey.
“I don’t want to be a day younger, I don’t want to turn back a second of my life,” said Michelle. She is looking forward to “the next 50 years”. She feels “the way I am, beautiful, strong, proud and powerful”. The singer does get “wrinkles, my hair is gray, I have to color it every three weeks, but that’s how it is in life, I stand by it because I love and accept myself”.
