Queen Máxima made a glamorous appearance at the state banquet in Prague. She beamed in a red one-shoulder robe.
The first day of King Willem-Alexander (58) and wife Queen Máxima (54) in the Czech Republic found a brilliant conclusion. Czech President Petr Pavel (63) and his wife Eva Pavlová (60) invited the Dutch Royals to the state banquet in the Prague Castle on Wednesday. Queen Máxima chose a glamorous look.
She wore a floor-length one-shoulder robe in red with a small train and a wide sleeve, which, like the neckline of the dress, noticed through flower applications. According to the Dutch media, the dress came from the Dutch designer Jan Taminiau (49). Máxima also wore a glamorous diadem from the Mellerio Ruby Parure. To do this, she combined a necklace from the same set. She had put her hair back on and the red color of the dress was reflected in her lipstick.
“Our state visit to the Czech Republic is a great opportunity to find out what else we can design together,” said King Willem-Alexander in his state banquet speech. “There is so much that you can build on!”
King Willem-Alexander travels home early
The royal couple ended up at the Václav-Havel airport in Prague on Tuesday. The state visit should “strengthen the bond of friendship between our countries,” said the Royals in an Instagram contribution. The royal couple should actually stay together in the Czech Republic until Thursday. But it was announced at short notice that King Willem-Alexander “will return to the Netherlands due to the political situation in the Netherlands after the program of the first day of state visit”.
Queen Máxima will contest the second day’s program alone. This should include the inauguration of a new church bell, a visit to a radio station or visit a ballet performance.
