After Prince Charles was recently infected with the corona virus, Duchess Camilla has now also tested positive.
Last Thursday, Prince Charles (73) tested positive for the corona virus. His wife, Duchess Camilla (74), is now also suffering from Covid-19. While Queen Elizabeth II’s eldest son (95) has been infected for the second time, it is Camilla’s first time.
“Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in self-isolation,” a spokesman for the couple confirmed. We want to continue to follow all government guidelines. Both royals have already received their booster vaccination. It is currently unknown how Charles and Camilla are doing and whether or not they will develop symptoms.
Concern for Queen Elizabeth II
The heir to the throne had already been infected with the corona virus in March 2020. At the time, however, Charles had only mild symptoms. that the royal got infected again and went into isolation. Camilla, who had still tested negative at the time, was therefore able to attend several public appointments, unlike her husband.
Shortly thereafter, it was announced that the Queen and Charles had recently met. The palace did not want to say whether the queen had also tested positive. However, she has no symptoms and her health is being monitored. Queen Elizabeth II was first vaccinated against the virus in early 2021.
