Michael Schanze lost 73 kilos! Instead of 198, the TV star weighs only 125 kilos. That was his weight loss method.
The rollator, with which he last rolled into appearances, has long been history. The belly is almost disappeared. TV legend Michael Schanze (78), become immortal as a moderator of “1, 2 or 3” and other formats of classic television – such as “children’s nonsense with Michael” – almost halved. “I’m really fine today,” says the popular entertainer.
From 198 kilograms to just 125 kilos, the liver, who has always valued and still appreciates fine food and drink, weighs an incredible 73 kilograms less. This is Schanzes-strong weight loss record after one and a half years.
Ski accident as the starting point of the overweight
The thousandsassa Schanze used to be extreme athletes. He was on the water, on the country and on the tennis court. But a skiing accident in 2003 put an abrupt end. He fell 25 meters in the mountains, injured himself on the spine.
“Unfortunately, less movement meant for me: more and more belly,” explains Schanze his weight development, which started at the time. In 2023 he almost reached the 200-kilo brand. He only came to public appearances with the rollator – the aching joints could no longer wear the weight. But then the entertainer made a decision that changed his life.
“Between January 10, 2023 and today I went down to 125 kilos from 198,” says Schanze proudly. His recipe for success sounds surprisingly simple: “I eat more consciously, keep myself fit as best I can and now give me a weight loss injection every Sunday.” His goal is to become a “under a hundred” man. “My next goal is 100 kilos,” explains the TV star.
Michael Schanze missed the deceased partner
Not too long ago, Schanze also had to cope with a terrible private stroke of fate. “It hurts that Uschi has no longer experienced this development,” he says of his partner, who died last year from the consequences of brain hemorrhage. “The calendar says it was ten months ago. But my soul speaks a different language,” says Schanze wistfully.
Already last year, the entertainer was stunned whether the death of his Uschi. “I was that with the many illnesses, not Uschi,” he said in August 2024 of the magazine “Bunte”. His partner was always by his side.
