David Beckham: Is he finally a knight?

David Beckham (50) is said to be beaten soon. Next week listed in the list of people, that of King Charles III. (76) should be honored. This would make the 50-year-old to Sir David Beckham.

According to British media reports, the honor for the former Manchester United star has been expected for a long time. Politicians and colleagues have been calling for years that Beckham, who was also captain of the English national team, receives this recognition.

David Beckham is also said to be close friends with King Charles. Among other things, the two combine love for nature and gardening. The former sports professional has also been a ambassador for the King’s Foundation, a charity of the monarch as an ambassador for the King’s Foundation.

Again and again the 50-year-old appears with his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham (51), also at official events of the royal family, such as in December at a state banquet for the Emir of Katar in the Buckingham Palace.

The Beckhams can also be seen again and again at private celebrations of the Royals. For example, they were guests at the weddings of Prince William (42) and Princess Kate (43) as well as Prince Harry (40) and Duchess Meghan (43).

In 2022, David Beckham made headlines when he stood in line for twelve hours to say goodbye to her coffin from the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). This had awarded him in 2003 for his services to English football with the “Order of the British Empire” (OBE). With the knighthood, David Beckham could now give an even higher honor.
