Mindy Kaling has not been an actress in front of the camera for years – for a surprising reason: her superstition.
Mindy Kaling (45) has revealed why she has largely withdrawn from acting in recent years – for superstitious reasons. She explains that as part of her series “Never in my life” and “The Sex Lives of College Girls”, she deliberately only stayed behind the camera as a producer and decided against a cameo appearance.
“I think a part of me is a little superflared. I think they seem to have gone well and I don’t play with me, so maybe I would rather wait.” Nevertheless, the mother of triple admits that she missed the acting and “would like to write or help shape a show soon in which I can play”.

Starting as a musical actress at Broadway, Mindy Kaling in 2004 made a name for herself as an author and actress of the successful series “The Office”. After the series “Never in my life” and “The Sex Lives of College Girls”, her new film “Running Point” also appeared in February, in which Kate Hudson (46) and Brenda Song (37) play the main roles. Kaling was honored for her work in the same month and received a star on the famous Walk of Fame.
On February 18, she accepted the award. “I’m so happy, I love recognition,” she enthused about this special moment. Kaling looks at her star in a very special way: since she is Hindu and will have a fire burial, be it sometimes sad not to have a grave after her death. “I am also obsessed with my legacy. […] But this is so much better than a grave, “said the actress.
