The defamation of actor Justin Baldoni against Blake Lively was rejected. Lively, who accuses of sexual harassment, among other things, now turned to other women.
After her victory in court against her acting colleague Justin Baldoni, US actress Blake Lively expressed her sympathy with other women in similar situations. “Like so many others, I felt the pain of a retaliation, including the fabricated shame that is trying to break us,” wrote the 37-year-old in her Instagram story.
LIVELY (“Gossip Girl”) had shown her co-star Baldoni in December because of sexual harassment when filming the film “only once” and accused him and the producer Jamey Heath in a lawsuit to destroy her reputation. Baldoni (41, “Jane the Virgin”), who also directed the film, had in turn reacted with a lawsuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds (48) because of defamation. A judge in New York has now rejected Baldoni’s defamation.
“The lawsuit against me was rejected, but so many do not have the means to defend themselves,” Lively continued. “I am more determined than ever to continue to stand up for every woman’s law, to have a voice to protect herself, including their security, their integrity, their dignity and their history.” In her post, Lively shared a list of aid organizations that offer women support in court and against sexual harassment.
A possible start of the process based on a lawsuit by LIVELY for sexual harassment against Baldoni and its production company is set to spring 2026.
