The US government is mobilizing more and more soldiers against migration policy because of the protests in Los Angeles. At the Bet Awards, rapper Doechii finds clear words.
The rapper Doechii criticizes President Donald Trump for the use of soldiers in response to protests against US migration policy. “There are ruthless attacks that ensure fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order. Trump uses military forces to stop the protest,” said the 26-year-old in Los Angeles at Bet Awards.
“I want you to think about what kind of government this is if the military against us is used for every exercise of our democratic law,” said Doechii. “What kind of government is that?”
Since 2001, the US television broadcaster Black Entertainment Television (BET) awards prizes in black stars from the areas of music, film, entertainment and sport every year. Among other things, Doechii is known for the viral catchy tune “Anxiety” and was awarded the best hip-hop artist.
