Christian Slater received his star on the Walk of Fame. His daughters Eliana and Lena also showed up in the performance.
Christian Slater (55) was able to celebrate one of the most important moments of his career with his family. At the awarding of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday (June 9), his wife Brittany Lopez as well as his daughters Eliana (23) and Lena, born in 2019, were there – a rare public appearance of the family.
“I have wonderful and great children and I can’t imagine my life without them. They are the greatest,” enthused the “Heathers” star visibly moved during his acceptance speech. According to loving words to his wife, he concluded: “Having a star on the Hollywood Boulevard is great, but none of it would be possible without my family and love that I have today.”
Patchwork family combines on the red carpet
The actor is a four-time father and leads a harmonious patchwork family. With his current wife Brittany Lopez, whom he married in 2013, he had daughter Lena and a son born in 2024. Son Jaden (25) and daughter Eliana come from his first marriage to Ryan Haddon (54). The presence of his daughters, who usually avoid the spotlight, was particularly remarkable.
“The whole thing is different. I am definitely much more present and just love it,” Slater had in August 2024. “I think the first time I was more anxious and a little more confused, and I was very distracted. And now it is everything I really think about, and everything that is really important to me, and everything I want to be near.”
The path to this harmonious family moment was not always straight for Slater. In the 1990s he was considered a Hollywood rebel, fought with addiction problems and fought the law several times-everything was over 20 years ago. Today he became another man. “In the 90s it was the case that I could only want to be somewhere else”, “Now I’m really at home.” This change also becomes clear in his current role in “Dexter: Original Sin”, where he appears as a fatherly figure Harry Morgan.
“Dexter” as a healing process
His current role in “Dexter: Original Sin” describes Slater as “reparation tour”. The series not only brought him together with “Heathers” director Michael Lehmann, but also with Patrick Dempsey (59), with whom he did not always harmonize in 1991 at “Mobsters”. “I was very competitive and, once again, the ego came into play,” he reflects
Director Michael Lehmann (68) is enthusiastic about the collaboration: “It was a very meaningful and enormously satisfactory re -encounter. It was a pleasure to simply interact with him as an adult.”
