Celebrities, experts and NGOs join in a national campaign for literacy

Referents of different fields – sports, actors, drivers, journalists, among others – put on the t -shirt for literacy under the signature #quentiendanLoquelean.

This Thursday, June 5, the National campaign for literacy Convene citizens from all over the country to join an urgent request: that the boys understand what they read.

The proposal is to take a picture with a poster with the campaign motto #QuentiendoLeleanand upload it to social networks, arrobing two people so that the conversation becomes viral. The initiative is promoted by Argentines by education together with 200 civil society organizations.

Who participated in the literacy campaign

Hundreds of personalities from different fields – sports, actors, drivers and journalists, among others – participate in the campaign. They put on the shirt for literacy and promised to add their voices this June 5, sharing their adhesion in the networks.

Ignacio Ibarzabal, Executive Director of Argentines for Education, says: “From 2023 we ask that literacy be a national and federal priority. It is undeniable that there is advances, as shown by the surveys carried out. However, the situation is critical and requires redoubled efforts. Initial literacy and education have to be at the center of our development strategy as a country. Consolidate testing. Annual and census, they can be an instrument to show the advances that the system can achieve from now on. “

The diagnosis is delicate and cannot wait.
