In the meantime, six members of the total seven-person K-Pop group have completed their military service. With this, a comeback from the music group is getting closer after more than two years of break.
The musicians Jimin and Jung Kook of the South Korean success band BTS have ended their military service one and a half years. This means that six members of the Seven-Pop Group have now completed their military service. Rapper Suga, who completes his community service as a social worker for health reasons, is to be released on June 21.
On Wednesday, 29-year-old Jimin and 27-year-old Jung Kook was welcomed by journalists and fans near the military base in Yeoncheon in South Korean. “Thank you for waiting for us,” said Jimin to his supporters. Many of them had come especially for the greeting of the South Koreans from all over the world.
In South Korea, all suitable men have to do a military service of 18 months for 18 to 21 months. The extremely successful music group had forced the compulsory military service to take a longer break since the summer of 2022. In the meantime there were also rumors about a resolution, which the South Koreans always denied. Now a comeback from the music group will soon be imminent.
BTS is one of the most successful groups in South Korean pop music, which is also known as K-POP under the collective term. With hits like “Dynamite” and “Permission to Dance”, Boygroup had stormed the charts. She published her debut single “No more Dream” in June 2013.
