Tyrese Gibson (43) mourns the loss of his mother. Priscilla Murray Gibson had been in a hospital intensive care unit for more than a week with COVID-19 and pneumonia. She died on Monday.
The “Fast and Furious” star now shared on Instagram. “On behalf of my family and everyone who has ever prayed for my mother, this is the saddest moment of my life,” he commented on a video of him holding his mother’s hand at the bedside.
“We are broken as a family”
Gibson wrote that his mother had just passed away. “May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heaven and embrace them,” it said. “We are broken as a family and just can’t believe it,” the actor laments. “From here I ask you to hold my hand, mother – and never let go of my hand.” Gibson concludes by saying, “The way you held my hand as a child and as a teenager, never let go of my hand, mother.”
