The Trumps looked at the Kennedy Center “Les Misérables”. There were boos for the couple from present.
US President Donald Trump (78) and First Lady Melania Trump (55) were considered at the opening presentation of the musical “Les Misérables” in the Kennedy Center with both boos and applause.
Donald and Melania Trump in black outfits
President Trump appeared for the event in a black suit, white shirt and fly and ran hand in hand with his wife over the red carpet of the cultural center in Washington, DC Melania Trump was also shown in a black outfit. She wore a sleek, ankle -long evening dress that combined her with silver shiny pumps. Her hair fell openly and styled over her shoulders to elegant waves.
Donald Trump seemed not only to be unimpressed by the boos. Also reports that some actors of his favorite musical wanted to boycott the premiere because of his presence, apparently left him cold: “I just don’t care, I just have to rule the country well”,
Trump wants to personally take care of the Kennedy Center
In February 2025, shortly after taking office as US President, the 78-year-old himself appointed himself head of the Kennedy Center’s supervisory board. At that time he said US media reports that the facility was in an “enormous decay” and that he had set himself the task of restoring it. Now he apparently visited the center personally for the first time.
His Vice President JD Vance (40) and his wife Usha Vance (39) were also present to the “People” report when performing “Les Misérables”. They could therefore not be put off by an unpleasant experience before. The vances were already booed by the crowd in the Kennedy Center in March when they wanted to attend another performance.
